The Mesquite Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has officially voted to support the upcoming Mesquite ISD Bond Election, which will appear on the May 3, 2025 ballot. After careful review and discussion, the board unanimously endorsed both Proposition A and Proposition B, recognizing the long-term benefits these investments will bring to our community, workforce, and local economy.
The bond package is designed to address critical facility needs across the district while investing in the educational infrastructure that will help shape the next generation of workers, innovators, and leaders.
Why the Mesquite Chamber Supports the Bond
1. Investing in Tomorrow’s Workforce
Businesses depend on a strong, educated workforce to grow and thrive. The improvements outlined in Proposition A—such as the construction of a new Career & Technical Education Center and upgrades across all campuses—will ensure students are prepared for the jobs of the future. Supporting this bond is an investment in talent development right here in our own backyard.
2. Enhancing Quality of Life
Proposition B includes the construction of a multi-purpose indoor facility for student activities, athletics, and community use. Facilities like this not only support student engagement and development but also contribute to the overall quality of life in Mesquite—an important factor in attracting and retaining both businesses and employees.
3. Economic Impact and Community Stability
Strong schools are closely tied to property values, economic development, and business investment. Modern, safe, and well-equipped educational facilities make Mesquite a more attractive destination for families and businesses alike. Supporting the bond helps ensure our city remains competitive and vibrant for years to come.

As a Chamber, we are proud to support initiatives that strengthen our community and create opportunities for business and economic success. We urge our members to review the facts, consider the impact on our city's future, and make their voices heard at the polls.
Together, let’s support Mesquite ISD and the future of our workforce.
