Join us in the Texas Capitol for the Mesquite Legislative Days on April 8 and 9. We will kick off the trip with a tour of the Capitol, before meeting with our local legislators. Full agenda will be available closer to time.
This is a must-attend trip for business leaders interested in the legislative process and will introduce you to our key legislators and local leadership.

1. What is Mesquite Legislative Days?
Mesquite Legislative Days is a two-day event providing an exclusive opportunity for business and community leaders to connect directly with state legislators and other key decision-makers in Austin. Participants will engage in discussions on business-related legislation and learn about policies impacting Mesquite.
2. When and where will the event take place?
Mesquite Legislative Days will kick off on April 8th with two full days at the Texas State Capitol.
3. Who can attend?
Anyone interested in advocating for the Mesquite business community is welcome to attend. This event is open to chamber members, community leaders, and business professionals.
4. What is the cost to participate?
Registration is $150 per person for Chamber members and their employees. This fee does not include travel or hotel costs.
5. How do I get to Austin?
Participants are responsible for their own transportation. Options include driving, carpooling, or flying to Austin.
6. Will lodging be provided?
We have a room block available to all participants. You will receive this information after you have registered.
7. What’s included in the event?
- Tuesday: Tour of the Capitol, Lunch, meetings with state representatives and senators, and Happy Hour.
- Wednesday: Meetings with state representatives and senators, lunch, and Texas State Cemetery tour.
8. What times are important for these days?
We begin our day in Austin on April 8th at 10 am. On April 9th, our last official activity is the optional Texas State Cemetery tour starting at 1:30 pm.
