On Thursday March 26, the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon. The topic is From Mesquite Skeeter to the White House: The Power of Relationships. We have brought in a fantastic alumni from Mesquite, Sarah Jackson. She will touch on her journey from Mesquite, TX and how she ended up on 41ON41, a documentary on George H.W. Bush told from the 41 people that knew him best.

Sarah Jackson
AVP and Central Division Government Relations Director for HNTB Corporation
Sarah P. Jackson is an Associate Vice President and the Central Division Government Relations Director for HNTB Corporation, a national engineering and infrastructure solutions firm. In this role, she directs government relations and public affairs across nine states, advancing legislative, infrastructure, and regulatory priorities that shape the future of transportation and mobility. She advises senior leadership on policy trends, builds coalitions with policymakers, and leads stakeholder engagement and community partnerships to strengthen HNTB’s impact.
Previously, Sarah served as Vice President of Strategy and Public Affairs for the Dallas Citizens Council, where she partnered with more than 170 CEOs to advance strategic priorities, oversee PAC and bond campaigns, and strengthen community partnerships. She spearheaded the launch of Dallas Forward, the city’s Economic Recovery Task Force, and directed policy strategy through four Texas Legislative Sessions, including forming a coalition that resolved the Dallas Police and Fire Pension crisis. Earlier in her career, she managed corporate affairs for Trafigura AG, where she created the Trafigura Scholars Program, launched the North American leadership team’s D.C. Fly-in, and developed a crisis communications system for a newly acquired energy asset.
Sarah’s leadership has been widely recognized. She was selected as a Presidential Leadership Scholar in 2016 and a Marshall Memorial Fellow (2020–22). She is Past Chair and 2022 President of The Texas Lyceum, where she launched a statewide policy fellowship program, and continues to serve on numerous civic and university boards, including The Dallas Assembly, Bush School Advisory Board, and the City of Dallas’ Trinity River Corridor LGC. She has also received the Yellow Rose of Texas Award and was named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and a Master of Public Service and Administration from Texas A&M University.

Our Mesquite Chamber of Commerce Monthly Luncheons are the perfect opportunity to connect, learn, and grow your business.
These luncheons are held the last Thursday of each month (except July, November and December) at Dallas College Eastfield Campus Building B from 11:30 am - 1 pm.

Our luncheons end promptly at 1 pm, ensuring you can get back to your day on time.
